Charlottes work is perhaps the recognized and sort after illustrations within the UK Burlesque scene, her burlesque portraits are recognized across the Atlantic too, I adore her work and her use of hand drawn illustrations then painted to perfection. I hope to contact her in my research for my context design book.

Angelique Houtkamp Design

Tattoo artist and illustrator/painting Angelique Houtkamps work is reminiscent of old 1920s pin-ups combined with old school tattoo stylistics, I love her colorful approach that she has modernized in her work.

Kev Grey Illustrations

Relating my burlesque portrait work to its context and looking at current artists that work within the same industry, the artist below Kev Grey, based in Leeds is an illustrator who creates simple yet lovely tattoo inspired pin-up designs, including commissions for burlesque performers. I really do love his work and the cliental he works with relates his style perfectly, for my context book I will attempt to interview Kev about his work and the industry he works within.
