Mary Fellows aka Pintuck

Another artist found while researching was Mary Fellows, her designs are all aimed at homeware products and the exception of them printed onto aprons, tea towels is just lovely!

Stuart Kolakovic

I noticed stuarts work when I was researching the homeware and tea towels, love his bold style of illustration and his use of scenic autumn colours.

Hovis Merchandise

I want to create a range of merchandise relative to Hovis and their image, the bread and the family tradition.

I've had the idea of creating a print pattern that can be applied to a selection of mediums relative to the subject, but the ideas I'm warming to is the idea of a an Oven glove/mit, an apron and a sandwhich box.

Below, research of these formats.

Envelop, allows illustrations and designers to feature their work on printed textiles such as aprons, some of my favorites below.

Packaging designs/illustrations

Interesting packaging here based on illustration, love the style, is so heartwarming and keepsake, really sweet to go alongside a chocolate bar for the Eugene and Louise bakery.

Intrigued by the eye catching design, I went searching for the bakery and found the cutest blog for them, lovely marzipan characters and chocolate designs!

Bakery research

My need to research for this Hovis brief takes me to research into not just bread, but everything it relates to, and baking/bakeries is a major factor, looking online for interesting designs regarding packaging.

Below, the work designed for Botanical Bakery by DBD International, absolutely love their playful approach to the packaging, the use of the hand rendered-esque type with the simply illustration and choice of bright colours gives a sense of a lighthearted approach to the product
